دلیل غیبت امام مهدی (علیه‌ السلام): وَأمّا عِلّةُ ما وَقَعَ مِنَ الغَيْبَةِ، فَإنّ اللهَ عَزّ وَجَلّ قال: يا أيُّها الّذينَ آمَنُوا لا تَسْألوا عَنْ أشْياءَ إنْ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ. و امّا دلیل غیبتی که اتفاق افتاد؛ خداوند عزّ و جلّ می‌فرماید: «ای کسانی که ایمان آوردید! از چیزهایی که اگر برایتان آشکار شود، شما را به زحمت می‌اندازد، سؤال نکنید.» As for the reason behind the occurrence of the (my) occultation, Allah the Almighty says, "O believers, do not ask questions about the things which, if made known to you, would only pain you." بحار الأنوار، ج 78، ص 380
