Who has ever seen an Afghan man crying?!
چه کسی تابحال گریه مرد افغان دیده؟!

Mr. President!
It's not your shortcoming
It the fault of distance

Haven't you made Afghan men acquaintance?
All who have seen this say
That Afghan man does not wail
So what is his pain?

Today, I've no words for you to tell

Like the lion of the valley of Panjsheer

Wake up and try to see!
Perish the thought
This idea was unthought!
I fear your eyes
Your cries
After you'd have seen this image
oh! this world's tarred its privilege

We're all heavy-hearted and try to withstand
The sad story of a man in Afghanistan

Oh! If you were still pursuing this life's story
Thee, the lion of the Panjsheer valley
Oh, If you were alive

آقای رئیس‌جمهور! آیا این را دیده‌اید؟

تقصیر این بعد مسافت است

مردهای افغان را نمی شناسی
هر کس این عکس را دید، گفت:
آخر مرد افغان اشک نمی ریزد
پس آخر چه بر سرش آمده؟

آقای پرزیدنت!
امروز با تو حرفی ندارم
تقصیر تو نیست
تقصیر این بعد مسافت است
تو نمی فهمی،
بغضی را که پایین نمی رود

با کس دیگری حرف دارم
با کسی که به محض دیدن این عکس او را صدا کردم:

شیر دره ی پنج شیر!
با تو ام
بیدار شو و ببین!

زبانم لال
بیدار نشو!
می ترسم از نگاهت
از فریادت،
بعد از اینکه عکس را دیدی
...

عجب دنیایی ست
همه دلمان تنگ شده است..
برای یک مرد..
در افغانستان
